Y7 in September 2027?

The process for admission of Year 7 students in September 2027 is underway.

The Blue School is a state maintained academy trust, but uses Somerset Admissions Service to process applications to the school for students transferring from primary school into Year 7.  Somerset's deadline for Admissions in September 2027 is Friday 31st October 2026.  Please see the Somerset guidance if you miss this October deadline.

Please see our Admissions page for more details or visit Somerset Council's website:

Somerset Admissions Service guidance.

We held our annual Open Evening for interested families on Thursday 1st October 2026.  However, if you were unable to attend that evening and/or wish to see the school in operation, you are welcome to book a daytime visit.  Please contact Mrs Jo Stitch, Headteacher's PA via 01749 678799 or email: jstitch@theblueschool.somerset.sch.uk.

If your child is not in Year 6 and/or you wish to join The Blue or transfer from another school in Years 7 to 11, please review our Admissions page.

The Blue School is a comprehensive, fully inclusive, mixed, Church of England, state maintained (non-fee paying) academy for students aged 11-18.

We welcome all and work for all to achieve their very best.
