Closure Information

A decision to close the school will be taken by the Headteacher in consultation with the Chair of Governors.

Such a decision will only be taken in exceptional circumstances on the grounds of health and safety of students, staff and visitors to the school.

If adverse weather conditions or other circumstances arise which require the school to close, prior to the start of the school day, this will be communicated as soon as is possible in the following ways:

Secondary means of communicating

• SMS text message to...
  'Primary Contact' parent/carer who has registered a mobile number with us
  Staff who have registered a mobile number with us
  (Broadcast emails are sent via our SMS text message gateway)
• Email to...
  Parents who have registered an email address
  Staff with a corporate email address

Actual delivery of emails and SMS messages is beyond the control of the school.
In severe weather situations communication systems may be adversely affected.
